Logan County “Old Jail” Museum
Near downtown Paris lies this stately building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Once the County Jail, and the location of the last legally sanctioned hanging in the State of Arkansas in 1914, the museum grounds now host Live Mock 1870’s and Civil War Era re-enactments and Hangin’s on the only functional hanging gallows in the U.S for groups from across the state and nation.
